Working at SilverForge

A small operational-software company in Dayton, Ohio, building deliberately. This page tells you the truth about that, including the part most careers pages hide.

Current openings: none

SilverForge is founder-run and not hiring today. We would rather say that plainly than collect résumés into a void. As SilverCommand's beta converts into paying customers, the first roles will appear here — most likely in support engineering and field implementation before anything else.

If you want to be first in line when that happens, write to support@silverforgellc.com with "Careers" in the subject. Short note beats long résumé. It is read by the founder, kept, and answered.

What this place is

We build software for industries that run critical work on paper — starting with private security companies, whose records defend contracts and insurance claims. The work is narrow and deep: learn one industry properly, build the thing that catches the record the first time, and be honest on the tin about what exists and what doesn't.

That honesty is structural, not decorative. Our public roadmap separates shipped from planned. Our security page opens with the certifications we don't hold. People who find that approach relieving rather than limiting tend to be the people we want to work with.

What working here will look like

Small team, real ownership, users you can name. The stack is TypeScript end to end — React on the front, Node and PostgreSQL behind, self-hosted infrastructure we operate ourselves. You would ship things that a guard clocks in with at 2am the same week you wrote them, and hear about it directly when they don't work. Dayton-based is a plus; serious remote is not a dealbreaker.
